Turning the oldest idea in agriculture into its newest.

Cultivated meat is one of the most significant developments in food production in generations. It also presents a branding challenge: how do you make sense of something that has never existed before?

Aleph Farms was pioneering a new category. Meat grown directly from animal cells, without raising or slaughtering animals. Bond was asked to create both the parent brand, Aleph Farms, and its first consumer product brand, Aleph Cuts.

What emerged was not a story about the future. It was a story about continuity.

The name Aleph comes from the first letter of one of humanity's oldest writing systems. Originally, it was represented by the pictogram of an ox; a symbol tied to agriculture, domestication and the foundations of civilization itself.

That single detail became the foundation of the identity.

By flipping the letter aleph, the ox reappears. A simple act that connects language, agriculture and technology in a single gesture. The flip became the organising principle for the entire brand system, extending across typography, motion, imagery and communication.

The identity follows the same logic. Cellular agriculture is often framed as a choice between tradition and innovation. Aleph Farms rejected that premise. Instead, the brand positions cultivated meat as part of a much longer story: one where humanity continuously evolves the ways it produces food while remaining connected to the knowledge that came before.

The commercial result was clarity. A category that can often feel abstract or scientific became grounded in something immediately recognisable and human. The parent brand and product brand were given distinct roles, while remaining connected through a shared idea and visual language.

The most original ideas rarely come from invention alone. They emerge by combining things that already exist in ways nobody has seen before.
